Optimal Counseling & Consulting (OCC) is a growing group counseling practice in Midtown Omaha. Our practice focuses on the mental health needs of men in our community with a goal of increasing access to and understanding and acceptance of mental healthcare for men. We aim to provide unparalleled services that meet the needs of our community and change the conversation about men’s mental health. Men may struggle with managing their mental health because of the stigma still associated with admitting one has a mental health problem. Fewer men seek out mental health treatment such as medication or counseling and they are slower to access those services when they do.
Although we have a special focus on men’s mental health at Optimal Counseling & Consulting, we also trained and happy to see couples, women, and people of any gender.

We are building a group of committed mental health professionals who believe in giving the highest quality care to our clients, focused on men’s issues. The goal of Optimal Counseling and Consulting is to normalize and encourage mental health treatment for all men. Specifically, Optimal Counseling & Consulting focuses on men who struggle with communication, emotional vulnerability, and healthy expression of emotions and needs. We treat a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, and compulsions. We use evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and are open to including your areas of expertise.

We are currently expanding and now seeking additional experienced, licensed clinicians who have a specialty that fits within our niche of men’s issues. Currently, we are accepting cover letters and resumes for:
- Any LMHP, LIMHP, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist who has a current NE License with at least 2 years of outpatient mental health experience.
We have part-time W2 positions available that can be 100% telehealth (work from home), in clinic, or a hybrid position. Office space is fully furnished, and hours in the office are flexible.
